USA Dance #5056
will hold a monthly dancing event on September 8th, 2018. For this
occasion, USA Dance uses a special theme of 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s dance.
The event will start at 6.30 – 9.30 pm at Oklahoma City University
(OCU). Those who want to join in the dancing event should come to the
Great Hall Room at Tom & Brenda McDaniel “University Center”
Building at the given time. To join the event, the participants should
pay admission fee: $5 for the member of USA Dance, $5 for college and
high school students, $10 non-members and guests, while the professional
ballroom dancers can join in the dancing event for free. Due to the
theme, all of the participants should wear outfits that suit the given
theme.
The USA Dance is the National Governing Body for Dancesport located in Oklahoma. This old-school dance comes with the specific mission to improve both the quality of the ballroom dance
and the number of the dancers. This is a non-profit organization with
approximately 19,000 members spread across the US. Thus, for note, the
upcoming dancing event is not aimed to raise funds, but the regular
monthly event only. The purpose of this monthly dancing event is to get
more people to join in the USA Dance.
“Great way to learn, and practice all levels of dancing. Nice social atmosphere members willing to help you learn,” Dan D, member of USA Dance.
"At times I think my presence on the dance floor is
just to drive my coach to the edge and back again! We just enjoy
Ballroom Dance as well as many other activities!” said Monty Savage, another member of USA Dance.
