November 11 is Remembrance Day, and Nurse Next Door pays respects to the men and women who've fought for freedom.
Nurse Next Door is proud to honor Canadian veterans this Remembrance Day. Nurse Next Door has been a proud supporter of the Canadian Armed Forces through our partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion for over twenty years. To show our gratitude for those who fought in World War II, Korea, and Afghanistan, we have created special home care services to help veterans and their families find assisted living homes near them.
The Canadian War Memorial in the middle of downtown Toronto is a prime area for Remembrance Day commemorations. This year, we joined the other veterans and members of our community to spread the word about what this day means to us as citizens of Canada. In addition, Nurse Next Door Home Care Services is a Canadian-owned Richmond Hill based home care agency that has been providing exceptional live-in and hourly home care services to clients in Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, and surrounding areas for over 20 years.
Remembrance Day, also known as Poppy Day, is a holiday that memorializes all those who have served in the Canadian armed forces, including members of our own Nurse Next Door family. Throughout the day, dozens of volunteers passed out red poppy wreaths to the hundreds of visitors who came by to pay their respects. With more than 20 years of combined service in the military between them, our volunteers are proud Canadians, and it's important that we never forget why we honor these brave men and women.
