Registration is officially open for the 2026 Flag Elite Fall Youth Basketball League, giving young athletes across Flagstaff a chance to play, grow and compete this fall, with select divisions capping off the season at the Phoenix Suns' Mortgage Matchup Arena.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Unlocked Potential, a Flagstaff-based youth basketball organization, has opened registration for its 2026 Flag Elite Fall Youth Basketball League. The Youth basketball leagues flagstaff season is open to players from Pre-K through high school and is designed to meet kids wherever they are in their basketball journey, whether they're picking up a ball for the first time or already playing at a competitive level. All regular season games are held locally in Flagstaff, keeping the league accessible for families throughout the community while still offering the bigger stage of a Phoenix championship for those who make it that far.

Every registered player receives a season jersey and weekly practices throughout the fall, along with a full slate of regular season games and an end-of-season playoff tournament for all teams above the Pre-K level. Divisions from 3rd grade through high school will also take part in an All Star Game, and the season wraps with awards for first and second place finishers, an MVP recognition in each division from 1st through 9th grade, and championship games for select divisions played at the Phoenix Suns' Mortgage Matchup Arena. The season is scheduled to begin at the end of September and includes a break over Thanksgiving week, so families can plan around the holiday without missing games.

Players in 3rd through 4th grade, 5th through 6th grade, 7th through 9th grade and the high school division will go through a skills assessment before teams are formed. Rather than grouping kids strictly by grade, the assessment lets coaches place each player according to ability, so games stay competitive and every athlete has room to build confidence and improve. Pre-K through Kindergarten and 1st through 2nd grade are structured a little differently, with practice days set in advance; families with players in those age groups are encouraged to contact Coach Kiki directly for scheduling details. Pricing starts at $160 for Pre-K through Kindergarten, while 1st grade through high school is $195, and scholarships are available for families who need them.

Unlocked Potential, DYSports bring spring break youth basketball clinic to Phoenix

 

A one-day clinic on March 19 will introduce Valley athletes to a fundamentals-driven training program built on years of success in Flagstaff.

PHOENIX — Unlocked Potential and DYSports will host a one-day Spring Break Youth Basketball Clinic on March 19, 2026, expanding their established player development model to young athletes in Phoenix. The clinic is designed to deliver focused, high-energy instruction for players ages 5 to 14 who want to strengthen core basketball fundamentals in a supportive and competitive environment.

The clinic will take place at Washington High School and will be divided into two age-based sessions. Athletes ages 5 to 10 will train from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., followed by a session for ages 11 to 14 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Training will emphasize shooting mechanics, ball-handling control, footwork efficiency and total-body athletic movement. Coaches will lead players through simple, repeatable drills designed to translate directly into in-game performance. Organizers say the fast pace of the session allows for maximum repetitions while still providing individualized feedback, helping participants build confidence and leave with measurable improvement in their skills.

The program reflects the training philosophy that has helped Unlocked Potential build a reputation in northern Arizona through years of clinics, camps, leagues and competitive team development.
