The Richard Evans Foundation on Access to Quality Education and Healthy Food

Having access to quality education and healthy food is not the norm for some children from poor homes. Hence why children need to have access to quality meals for proper growth and development. Also, as a basic human right, children are entitled to quality basic education; however, this is not the reality for some children.

Seeing this gap, The Richard Evans foundation aims to reduce or constrict this gap by providing quality and healthy meals to prioritize child well-being and health thereby preventing food poisoning and from junk food marketing.

Announcing the Dad’s Arcade Campaign – A Memorial Arcade in Honor of My Father

A memorial Arcade in honor of my Dad who passed away from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Minneapolis, MN  – July 13, 2015 – Jon Konchal wants to complete an unfinished tribute to his father and it has now become a fully-fledged memorial basement arcade project to keep his spirit alive in my life as well as the lives of his grandchildren. Jon’s father brought the home arcade experience into his life when he was a small child and in his honor, Jon wishes to do the same thing for his children (aged 2.5 years and 1 year) so they too can know how thoughtful and caring their grandpa was and how much he loves them when they grow up.

Since even before his Father had passed away after complications from Pulmonary Fibrosis in June 2013, Jon had an idea of a way he could make a tribute to him. His Dad had brought gaming into his life at an early age by one day randomly bringing a couple of full-sized arcade machines into their basement. For those of you who don’t know, his Dad was not a gamer in the least and he can’t recall any instance of him playing a single video game or pinball. However, that incredible act of kindness can easily show how much he cared for his family in life, especially his children. This single event was short lived as Jon’s Dad was unable to get these ‘70s era machines fixed once they broke down and ended up selling them but it’s turned into easily one of Jon’s best childhood memories regarding his Dad.

Today Jon is married and has started having children of his own and deeply desires to re-create this memory for his young children in his dad’s honor. Jon’s family are at a point in their lives where they are ready to make this happen and though the basement of their house which is mostly unfinished and not appropriately modeled as such to be properly turned into an arcade. Money is the only (and biggest unfortunately) hurdle for them to jump. The cost of going about this process is much more than they can afford and though they're working on filtering any money they can into making this happen, the fact is thanks to numerous debts, they simply can't get this off the ground ourselves.

Please help them reach their goal to finally make this project more than just an idea and you too can enjoy a piece of gaming history and recognition for your contributions.

Announcing the Helping Mom and Dad Campaign on Tilt

Toronto, ON – July 2, 2015 – Boris Tesel is seeking to raise funing for his parents as a special thank you so that they can buy their own home. His folks are survivors and are older, but they still pay their own way and insist on being independent.

Like your typical loving parents both worked long hours for Boris’s benefit. Growing up he took his parents for granted and he described himself as a brat. He felt more entitled than appreciative and he wasn't an easy kid to deal with, so he wants to show his appreciation now that he is an adult.

Boris’s parents never owned a house. In Latvia, at that time it was still under the soviet communist regime so ownership was not allowed. In Canada when his folks finally managed to save enough money for a decent down-payment on home instead of buying one they gave it Boris so that he could buy a very nice home. Since then their financial situation has declined and Boris started a Tilt campaign to raise money in gratitude for his loving parents.

About the Tesel Family
Boris and his parents immigrated to Toronto, Ontario Canada in 1979 from Riga, Latvia. His parents’ names are Zina and Fayvus. His dad is 72yrs old recovered from a stroke four years ago and is still working at furniture assembly line. His mom 65yrs old and suffered a stroke two years ago and was forced to retire early because she still has not recovered fully.

Announcing the Helina Kebede Student Loans Campaign

Fair Haven, MI – June 2, 2015 – A family of 4 is trying to survive on one income and pay off over $130,000.00 is student loans. Their goals are not to get rich but only survive and provide a college fund for their two small children and pay off their student loans.

Helina Kebede is a stay at home mom so she can guide their children in an American way, they don't own a home but that is ok for now, just as long as they can pay the rent (which is a struggle for them on a single income) and feed their children as well.

Helina Kebede is not asking for a hand out just a hand up. They are a family that loves this country and believes in the American way but they need some help so we can pass on a better life to our children than we are living.

They want to pay it forward and help others and they know there are others that have it bad as well and they will work with their community and church to help others succeed with we share crowd funding. All they are asking for is a chance to pay it forward.
