European and US Citizen Now Require New Zealand ETA Visa to Visit the Country

New Zealand Electronic Travel Authorization or NZeTA will take effect from October 2019. Foreigners who want to visit New Zealand by cruise ship must hold it, including citizens from the United States, France, UK, German.

The Immigration Agency, Government of New Zealand has launched NZeTA or New Zealand Electronic Travel Authorisation after July 2019. By the launching of this electronic travel authorization, the citizens of 60 visa waiver countries and cruise ship travelers must have a NzeTA if they want to travel to New Zealand. This authorization will take effect from October 2019. 

Travelers from all countries around the world can apply for Eta New Zealand, especially if they want to travel to New Zealand by a cruise ship. This authorization for all travelers who want to visit New Zealand for a short-term stay, tourism, or business trip. Besides, the cruise ship crew and the airline crews who want to go to New Zealand also have to hold a crew New Zealand eTa. 
    
A Traveler who wants to apply for a New Zealand Eta has only to complete a simple online application form. The form is available at the official portal, Official-Newzealand-Eta.Org. The process is fast and can be finished in less than 5 minutes. Travelers can apply for a NzeTA from their mobile phone, tablet, PC, or computer. The approval will be sent via email account. A traveler can use this visa for 2 years period and it can be used multiple times to visit the country before the time expired. Travelers can use the visa to explore New Zealand up to 90 days and 180 days for UK citizens.   

Travelers have to pass some requirements to apply NzeTA. Those requirements are: 

  • Name, surname, and date of birth
  • Passport number and its expiration date
  • Contact information such as address and active email account
  • Declarations of health and character 

The applicants must be in good health and not in a medical consultation or treatment while applying for the Eta NZ. They have to include a valid travel passport, email ID, purpose of their visit, place to stay in New Zealand, and method of payment. Then, they have to submit the application back and make payment for the eTa NZ. New Zealand Electronic Travel Authorization is not for Australian and New Zealand citizens. People who have a New Zealand Permanent Resident Visa and any kind of New Zealand visa doesn’t need to apply for NZeTA. If the person is the guest of the Government of New Zealand, he or she doesn’t require to hold New Zealand Electronic Travel Authorization.
