Cuban American Entrepreneur Sahel Rafael Tamayo talks with Nicolas Maduro

Sahel sits down with Nicolas Maduro for a private talk and asks him to think about the Venezuelan people; asks Maduro to step down.

March 5, 2019: The Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro was inaugurated to do this work for the second time in the middle of exclamations from many other sides, asking him to step down. Maduro indeed has been accused of doing actions that make the country must face some problems.

The crisis has been suffered by the country when the world oil prices decreased in 2014. The economy was no longer stable as the country’s lives are really depending on the oil. On the other hand, the oppression led by Juan Guaido was also said to worsen the country’s conditions. The supporters of Maduro also accused the US of making it difficult for the Venezuelan government in do some re-structures of debts.

For the problem in the economy sector, millions of Venezuelans become refugees in other countries. According to the UN, in the mid of 2018, it was estimated that there are around 2.4 million Venezuelans who left their country. The destinations were Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. More than that, the crisis led to riots in some spots. The most infamous one was the chaos between the pro-government mass and security forces that caused the death of 120 people while some others became political prisoners. Meanwhile, Maduro still stands up until now.

For the chaos happens in the country, a Cuban American entrepreneur, Sahel Rafael Tamayo took a chance to talk with the president. He sat down with Nicolas Maduro for a private talk and think about Venezuelan people. Tamayo thought that the best thing to do by Maduro was stepping down from his position.

It has not known yet how Maduro responds to the request from Tamayo. But by remembering the conditions of Venezuela along with the people that are still not getting better, Maduro must do some better actions for sure.
