Announcing the Jacob's Journey for Answers Campaign

A campaign to help Jacob Wister Ivins search for answers to an unknown medical issue diagnosis

Tullahoma, TN – November 13, 2014 – On September 29th of 2014, Jacob Wister Ivins’s  body decided to unexpectedly shut down and this bad situation landed him in ICU at St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN. Jacob is a 34 year old with no previous medical issues and is unsure of what caused this medical issue.

During his stay in the hospital he went through many tests in an attempt to find the cause of this episode. In the end the diagnosis was unknown and needs to undergo more testing. At this time there are still no clear answers to what happened to him.

Jacob has been experiencing some ongoing effects since returning home from the hospital, such as extreme fatigue, confusion and dizzy spells.  Before the incident, he had no such occurrences or any medical history to help diagnose the root cause of this episode.

Jacob continues to search for answers, but still have no diagnosis. He has a beautiful family that depends on him tremendously and they need him to return back to normal.  The continual medical testing and follow ups will be as you can guess, expensive and this medical dilemma couldn’t have happened at the worst time. On November 6th of 2014 the company Jacob works for was forced to layoff employees.  He will lose his insurance at the end of the month. Jacob is not one to ask for help, but at this point there is no alternative.

He started a campaign on GoFundMe and there were kind people who have contributed to his dilemma. He appreciates everything that everyone has contributed so farm so if you would like to help, please visit:

Please keep Jacob in your thoughts as he continues down this path of discovery and treatment.
