Enter Raffle to Win the Famous Dodge Challenger Driven by Jack Nicholson

One of the most beautifully restored muscle cars in Hollywood’s history can be owned for as little as $25.00 by entering Dan Root’s charity raffle.

Williamsburg, New Mexico – Collectors, car enthusiasts and the general public have the chance to win a completely restored Dodge Challenger muscle car steeped in Hollywood history. Featured prominently in shows like The Bucket List and NCIS: Heartland, this car has both rich character and a pedigree. It has been driven by celebrities Jack Nicholson and Mark Harmon… and now it can be yours by entering this charity raffle.

This famous restoration automobile, built by custom car expert Ted Moser (known for his Fast and Furious franchise cars) is the first Hollywood movie vehicle of its kind to be raffled to the public. It sports a 5.7 liter HEMI Engine, and updated suspension system to accommodate its thrilling action driving scenes.
This Challenger was built for the feature film The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman their characters both had created a Bucket List because of their mutual terminal diseases. They would try to complete their dream lists before their lives ended! Second on their list was to race classic dream cars, together, before dying. Hence the name of the Movie The Bucket List refers to kicking the bucket.

This Challenger was also featured in the hit television series NCIS, episode called “Heartland. Mark Harmon’s character is back in his hometown on a case. The plot has emotional family twists in which Mark’s father played by the late Ralph Waite whom as the story unfolds  Mark character hasn't seen or talked to since leaving years earlier. His father is constantly trying to reestablish their relationship as father and son. The big scene in this episode finally does just that, it is when this Classic Challenger plays the perfect role! That’s when Ralph Waite (Dad) and Mark Harmon (son) need a car badly because the NCIS vehicle was destroyed. Ralph takes Mark to his garage and and presents Marks his old Challenger he left behind probably because it didn’t run. But now he sees it for the first time in years  completely restored as he had always wanted it!

Now, the owner of the car would like to use the famous Dodge Challenger to help people in need.

“I bought this car from an 80 year old veteran,” said Dan Root, owner of the Challenger and drive behind the raffle. “I originally set out to own it as an investment piece, but soon after, I decided to put the car to good use by organizing  a raffle for the car. Fans of the movie and television program will certainly have a strong interest, and the money raised will go to a great causes”

Part of the money raised from the raffle will be used for the New Mexico branch of the Make A Wish Foundation, a group that offers children with terminal diseases and serious health medical issues a chance to have one dream fulfilled. Another part of the money will go to the SCCA, the Sierra County Cancer Assistance program, a non-profit that provides no-cost transportation for cancer survivors to their physician, chemotherapy and radiation appointments. A third part will go to the New Mexico State Veterans Home in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

“I want this well-known vehicle to continue the time it has on the planet as the special car it is. It is already a valued object of affection, and those who see the car will have fond memories of the past.  It is both an icon of muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s and a piece of Hollywood history,” said Root.
Tickets are on sale. $25.00 gets a single ticket, or interested parties can buy five for $100.00. The charities are 501(c)3 organizations, and tickets are tax deductible.
