The Invoicing transition from the past to today

In the past, businesses have suffered set back and losses due to the  lack of proper documentation. The confusion, most times, arises between business owners and their customers because some clients may forget to pay for a service or a product that was sold to them due to the fact that there was no record to present for the transaction. Hence, the need to record every transaction done became necessary, to avoid future confusion.

Over the years, many business owners discovered that e-invoicing is a better way of making their client pay them faster and also a means for proper documentation. There is no more room for confusion or argument as all the transactions are recorded.

Manual Invoicing System

The manual invoicing system was adopted for sending bills to customers. Bills are prepared on paper using the information gotten from customers before they are given to the customers for payment. This process can be stressful especially when the company grows bigger with a large number of customers. Using manual invoicing system makes transaction to be slow and full of error.

Automated Invoicing System

Since manual invoicing system has not proven to be the best way to make a successful transaction and to keep a perfect record, the need for a more reliable and easy invoicing system arose. Automated invoicing system made transaction more flexible and faster because it helps in make transaction processes easier. The invoice is generated automatically from the information given by the customers. The invoice is then sent immediately to the client. This process gives no room for error as there will be proper documentation since it automatically stores customer’s details.
Now, business owners have adopted the system of integrating payment platform to their invoicing system, which makes it easier for customers to make payment. Customers can now make payment as soon the invoice is generated.
