Donate
to fund the design and production of two unique art pieces by a well-known
artist
Atlanta, GA -- May 13, 2015 -- Donal
Jolley, well-known for both his flair in the artistic and musical realm,
proudly announces a unique campaign to fund a set of functional art pieces
featuring two beautiful guitars.
Donal will take two different guitars, one
a left-handed Epiphone
Sheraton II, and the other a genuine Fender Stratocaster, Telecaster, or Gibson
ES-style guitar with a value of approximately $2000 electric guitar. Each will
receive new artwork created exclusively for this campaign by the author
himself, and will ultimately be used as the top rewards for backers of the
project.
Donal
is seeking the assistance of the crowd fund community to provide the money to
back this artistic challenge, in the amount of $3,500. The project's primary
financial goal is to fund the materials already purchased, replace a burned-out
airbrush compressor, and have a professional luthier set up both guitars. Any
money "left over" will go to subsidize the huge investment of time
spent to bring the two guitars to a finished state.
A
complete set of four prints of detail areas of the guitars will be run on archival
grade paper and individual, partial, and complete sets are to be available to
project supporters. Supporters can choose from a variety of sponsorship levels,
and are rewarded with the prints, thank you cards and blanks, original art,
full-size original sketches of the guitars, pencils used in the project, and
GIT2 itself.
More About Donal Jolley:
Donal Jolley is an author,
designer, and digital artist. The son of a professional illustrator and artist
of the same name, Donal practiced his cartooning skills from an early age,
using conveniently placed surfaces throughout the house, including his mother’s
entry-way statue (with a blue felt tip pen, no less).
Children
and adults in every continent but Antarctica have Donal’s work hanging on their
walls. It pleases him to be able to "speak" through pleasurable,
childish art, and he often randomly gives away pieces of his work to those who
look like they could use a smile. Over the years he has spent many thousands of
dollars on equipment and supplies, simply for the joy of knowing he has brought
smiles to so many faces.
