Announcing the Campaign to Fund the My Driving Pal

A unique, easily portable product that allows easy tracking of any vehicle or individual

San Ramon, CA -- May 12, 2015 -- The creators of My Driving Pal (MDP), a unique new product designed to easily track vehicles, individuals, or wayward children, proudly announces the campaign to fund it’s continuing development and marketing!

Have you ever wished there was a product that could monitor, issue alerts, and track your vehicle, bike or child or any other moving asset,  but ONLY when they move out of range or are in your absence?

Introducing the My Driving Pal! The MDP Device and App communicate with each other via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). When the MDP Device and a smartphone using the MDP app are within range (15 meters) of each other, the MDP App tracks the asset and MDP Device goes into idle mode. In order to protect the user's privacy, all tracking data remains locally on the phone and is not transmitted to any Backend Server. However, when the phone is out of range and yet the object that is carrying the MDP Device is moving, the MDP Device turns on its built-in GNSS (GPS) receiver and Cellular Modem, tracks the asset and immediately notifies the user on his/her phone via remote push notification.

Not only for tracking individuals or vehicles, the  MDP App also allows you to manually record your walking, running, biking, or driving trips. It shows the route on a map and updates the  distance and duration of the trip in real-time in both US (foot, mile) and Metric (meter, kilometer) units.

The team creating MDP is seeking $50,000 to fund the follow tasks:
     Hardware Development and Refinement
     Firmware Refinement
Develop Waterproof Enclosure (case) for MDP Devices
     Power Consumption Optimization
     Certifications - FCC, CE, PTCRB

Announcing the Campaign to Support Child Abuse Victims

Provide the funding necessary to train first responders and provide counselling to victims

Dallas, TX -- April 21, 2015 -- The Hope for Children Foundation (http://www.hopeforchildrenfoundation.org/) announces their campaign to seek funding to continue to support and educate first responders, families and children to protect against child abuse, bullying, and domestic violence.
Helping children and families is the goal of Hope for Children Foundation. This organization works to provide guidance, support, suggestions, answers and education, helping to find the right path of action for protecting the child and family from abusers. They provide training to first responders, law enforcement officers, as well as judges and court personnel to help them understand the signs of child abuse and how they can follow through with securing the safety of the victim.
Hope for Children Foundation also provides training on The Violence Against Women Act, which provides protection for men, women and children involved in domestic violence. Cases of violence against men and the elderly are also covered under this act, as children are often involved in these situations as well.
The state and federal law enforcement training provided within the Hope For Children Foundation FREE Video Training (available through their website), showcase different violent crimes committed against children and/or adults, revealing the level of protection received when victims of violent crimes prevail in court.
Your support and generous donations to the Foundation will be used to support abuse victims and continue educating first responders and others in contact with abused children/adults. Full awareness of the immediate needs of crime victims will allow first responders to make qualified decisions from the start. It is time for victims, their families, neighbors and the general public to receive this knowledge. United we can take steps to help stop child abuse!

Announcing the Campaign to Help an Australian Women's & Children's Shelter

Help provide a safe haven for women and children in regional Queensland, Australia.

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia  January 11, 2015 – A non-profit organisation providing shelter for women and children in their time of need is looking for funds to make their shelter sustainable.

The shelter consists of 4 houses sitting together on one acre in a small town in regional
Queensland where women and their families can come and stay when they need to seek refuge.

The women and families who use this shelter can come from anywhere. The location is within one hours drive from a major regional airport. To help make it easier for the families who many need help, the shelter will assist with the cost of flights for any person in need.

The cause for this shelter runs deep. The cycle of violence and despair is difficult to escape, and their goal  is to give those dependent upon on the shelter every chance possible to start again in a safe and secure location. With the four houses, each consisting of 3 bedrooms, they are able to accomodate women on their own, or even whole families in need. The location chosen for the shelter is far removed from where these families have come, and provides peace and quiet in a quietly supportive small community with all amenities including a local police station for support.

Needed is the funds to keep the program going, and allow the shelter to provide free accomodations to both patrons and volunteer staff. The seeds to this program are already secured through a a generous donation of partial ownership of this property to the group running the shelter, and the first two houses are ready  for occupation. Volunteers are generously helping to run the program and are also provided free accomodation. While there is no cost to any woman or family staying with us, the shelter is relying on the support of donors to make this sustainable.

Any assistance, however small, will help to keep this program going.

Thank you.

Announcing the Education For Muntanga in Zambia Campaign

Creating A Life With Education For Muntanga

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada – January 11, 2015 – Anne-marie is a 22 year old Zambian girl, studying Economics and Finance in Vancouver, Canada.

Last summer, she took some time out to visit her mother, who lives back home in Zambia. During this time, she was pleasantly surprised to meet a new addition to our extended family; Muntanga. Muntanga is a smiley, friendly and polite 9 year old girl who lives with her large family in the Zambian countryside.

Although she is just 9 years old, she has already lived an incredibly brutal life. Her stepmom regularly beats her, and forces her to partake in chores, which are way beyond her ability and age. Resultantly, her mother, an incredibly loving lady, has made the noble decision to provide free education for Muntanga, so that she may endure a brighter and better future, away from the difficulties faced at home.

What We Need & What You Get

During my childhood, her mother taught her to believe that education has a wonderful ability in changing not one person’s life, but entire communities Muntanga, given the proper love and support that a child deserves, can rise above her current circumstances, and grow into a kind and thoughtful woman, armored with the skills necessary to move forward from her past.

With your help, we can build a better future for Muntanga; increasing the likelihood that she may one day feel compelled to give something back to society. One life saved goes a long way… With your help and support, we can change the life of a young girl for the better.

Muntanga needs contributions to go to school, to buy her a uniform, a pair of  shoes, books and all the other necessities children need to learn. A proportion of the money will be used to feed her and pay for her healthcare, whilst the remaining funds will support living and transportation costs.

Our ultimate goal is to give Muntanga a normal, privately educated upbringing, away from the difficulties faced at home.

About Muntanga

Muntanga has been funny, sweet, motivated and kind; a quick and enthusiastic learner, who is an absolute pleasure to be around. Although she has only spent a short time with my mother, her confidence has already increased dramatically, and her ability to solve problems never ceases to amaze us.

Unfortunately, the difficult economic climate of recent years, has hit the general population in Zambia hard, applying enormous pressure on my mother’s attempts in providing free education for Muntanga. This breaks her Mom’s heart, not because she struggles to live, but because she is faced with the incredible real possibility that she may have to let Muntanga down.
