Sahel sits down with Nicolas Maduro for a private talk and asks
him to think about the Venezuelan people; asks Maduro to step down.
March 5, 2019: The Venezuelan president, Nicolas
Maduro was inaugurated to do this work for the second time in the middle
of exclamations from many other sides, asking him to step down. Maduro
indeed has been accused of doing actions that make the country must face
some problems.
The crisis has been suffered by the country when the world oil prices
decreased in 2014. The economy was no longer stable as the country’s
lives are really depending on the oil. On the other hand, the oppression led by Juan Guaido
was also said to worsen the country’s conditions. The supporters of
Maduro also accused the US of making it difficult for the Venezuelan
government in do some re-structures of debts.
For the problem in the economy sector, millions of Venezuelans become
refugees in other countries. According to the UN, in the mid of 2018,
it was estimated that there are around 2.4 million Venezuelans who left
their country. The destinations were Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. More
than that, the crisis led to riots in some spots. The most infamous one
was the chaos between the pro-government mass and security forces that
caused the death of 120 people while some others became political prisoners. Meanwhile, Maduro still stands up until now.
For the chaos happens in the country, a Cuban American entrepreneur, Sahel Rafael Tamayo
took a chance to talk with the president. He sat down with Nicolas
Maduro for a private talk and think about Venezuelan people. Tamayo
thought that the best thing to do by Maduro was stepping down from his
position.
It has not known yet how Maduro responds to the request from Tamayo.
But by remembering the conditions of Venezuela along with the people
that are still not getting better, Maduro must do some better actions
for sure.
