The hip-hop world is all abuzz following a spectacular
performance by teen "triple threat" artist Xavier at New York City's
Smash Studios on August 20.
New York City, NY - Xavier, whose prowess as a vocalist,
instrumentalist, and rapper led to his signing with CW One/Sony Red, one
of the biggest labels in entertainment today, strode into the spotlight
before a packed house of industry insiders, and amazed them all with a
stellar performance. The young, emerging artist showcased his latest
single, The Greatest, set to be released in September, and was joined by
his dance group, Live Your Dreams, choreographed by Brooke Davis.
Xavier was backed up on stage by DJ Nolita, and CW One/Sony Red was
represented by Carlton Wright and Anthony Jones. The event was hosted by
Hip Hop Weekly EIC Cynthia Horner, and featured special appearances by
such luminaries as hip-hop star Bobby Stone, vocal coach Ankh Ra of
VH1's Making The Band, platinum certified producer/Fifth Avenue
Skateboards founder Jae Pryce, Celebrity Fitness Instructor Charity
Lynette of Curvy Chick Fitness, Producer, Writer "Tsadiqwah" (The Dr. Oz
Show & DivaGalsDaily) and celebrity photographer Eddie Simmonds.
Xavier was led onstage by his manager, Smag, to thunderous applause,
where Cynthia Horner met and engaged him in a rousing Q & A session
before the performance. Xavier, a Brooklyn native who appears on Season 3
of WWOR-TV's Ride With Me series, has been steadily rising in the
industry, opening for such household names as Nicki Minaj and comedian
Kevin Hart, and capping off a whirlwind radio tour earlier this year on
Talk IT Out Radio, Desert Storm Radio, SIHH Radio, and many more. He
overcame the burdens of growing up in the inner city, mastering such
instruments as drums and guitar, and proving by example, that dreams
really can come true.
The crowd-pleasing extravaganza was proudly powered by Bossed Up
Entertainment and Global Marketing and Entertainment, along with CW One
Music Group, 6.2 Entertainment, Rockboy Records (via Sony Red), and
media sponsors 4UMF.com, Ride With Me TV, and Enspire Magazine. The show
was catered to perfection by Brooklyn Nights Catering and Nikki Lukes
Treats, and promoted by Ernest Jackson of MNS Media Group. "Music is
Xavier’s passion," says manager Smag, "therefore, he makes it a point to
ensure that added touch of creativity and distinction shines through in
each of his creations, and there are no exceptions.”
