Nationally Known Business Development Consultant Dave Turkin Talks Online Business Reputation Management

May 2, 2015 10:30 AM at a small press conference at his offices in Los Angeles CA, nationally known business development leader Dave Turkin (www.accessiblebusiness.com) released one of a 5 series report / review of Online Reputation Management and its negative effects on business and business development. This series of 5 in-depth articles highlights the challenges small and medium sized companies face if someone decides they didn’t like how you interacted with them in a business transaction.

Turkin said, “Every day new clients come to our company looking for business loans, business plans and business development coaching and one of the very first questions is how do I deal with negative information about me or my company on the search engines”. In most cases these negative post are from years ago but show up on the first page of Google, Yahoo or Bing and if the people viewing them do not take the time to check the dates they think it is current. “These are serious challenges”, quoted Turkin saying private lenders and even banks do research individuals and business seeking additional funding and these frivolous post can have a negative effect on a loan decision.

Sharing he too has had negative comments show up on his search engine results from clients that go to one of these sites like Ripoff.com and just say the worst of things without any support or documentation. Turkin shared, “These negative report websites seem to get pleasure in posting these mostly non truthful reports”. It is time we challenge these companies and their ability to damage a business or individual on all levels”. Turkin’s 5 articles series will be available at www.accessiblebusiness.com and online at most stores.

If you have been affected by one of these reports and find it near impossible to get anyone at those websites to listen to your side of the full real story please forward your story to daveturkin@mergdigital.biz . Turkin plans on gathering these stories and create articles to bring attention to these companies and hopefully some political powerhouses will get involved and help bring some guidelines to these companies and their ability to damage business and individuals with the stroke of a pen and not require and support documentation.

It is unfair an individual or company has to fight to get the truth heard when someone post negative information and often times very one sided or not completely true comments on the internet. Companies that offer services that allow individuals to post negative comments on the internet have no governed guidelines. They are a window to the world where unhappy people can damage a person or companies image based on hearsay. It should be the responsibility of these companies to research all negative comments and reach out to the individual or company accused of some unprofessional interaction for their comments prior to being able to post these damaging comments. We want to work to change that process and protect the business person
