Goodgame Studios Added Paysera Real-Time Payment Gateway

One of the biggest free-to-play games development companies, Goodgame Studios, has added Paysera as a real-time payment gateway and has provided convenient and fast online payment methods to 230 million gamers.

Paysera suggests the solution, which enables the use of many payment gateway options: bank-link, payments by Visa, MasterCard and other payment cards, payments by SMS, and payments in cash.

“We work with many banks, and our customers benefit from using Paysera, instead of opening an account with each bank. We have arrangements with all the banks of the Baltic region, and we can provide attractive solutions to a business, which provides services or markets goods there, and accepts online payments,” says Daumantas Barauskas, Head of Development of EVP International, which develops the Paysera payment system.

Paysera applies the lowest commission fees for payments in the market. There are no administrative fees. The payments are processed in real-time – the transfer is completed immediately without any delay. Paysera can be easily integrated, even with game platforms, such as Goodgame Studios.

The fans of the Goodgame Empire, Empire: Four Kingdoms, Shadow Kings, Big Farm, and Gangster games will benefit from the cooperation between Goodgame Studios and Paysera, as they will be able to use new methods of payment when playing online. The integration will be beneficial to the players in the Baltic States, because they will be able use payment methods, which are popular in the region. It is believed it will increase Goodgame Studios’ popularity in the Baltic region.

The most popular way to pay for the online and mobile games are SMS payments, and payment cards, e.g. PayPal. Both options have several disadvantages. Payments by payment cards are accessible to adults only. Paying by Internet is not popular in some countries, as entering a payment card number in a web browser is assumed as an unsafe method of payment.

The main disadvantage of SMS payments is big commission fees – the largest amount goes to the mobile network providers.

The solution provided by Paysera enables games to pay Goodgame Studios by using e-banking or direct payment from Paysera. Teenagers can open the Paysera account too. This payment method is free of charge for users and payments for games are processed in real-time, which is crucial for gamers. In some countries, payments can be made by cash in shops and the post where only the printed receipt with the QR or barcode is needed. “This payment method is popular among teenagers, who do not have a bank account and who do not want to lose their pocket money by giving it to mobile service providers,” says D. Barauskas.

In Eastern Europe, where Paysera’s development is the strongest, the gamers have been appreciating Paysera for quite a while. According to Vytautas Girgždys, a representative of Draugas.lt, one of the largest gaming and dating portal in Lithuania, 50 percent of the gamers pay for games by using Paysera’s payment methods.
