COMMUNITY BUILDING FOR a GREATER CAUSE DESTINATION CHARITY

“Where your charity wishes, meet your travel dreams”

Nationwide, August 20, 2020—Destination Charity is a travel auction company, founded by Master Traveling Agent Tashina King. Tashina's love for traveling and zeal for giving back has led her to form an agency to help non-profits uniquely raise funds for their organizations. Destination Charity has launched a Community website for individuals interested in travel and non-profit organizations. On this site, visitors can engage in forums discussing travel stories, tips, auction information, and stay updated with the latest travel and tourism news.

Destination Charity has established this resource to provide a detailed explanation of their soon to be launched travel penny auction, information on various products and services offered, and in-depth information on their affiliate program.

"We are here to provide support to our customers and affiliates to leverage people's love for travel to support the charity of their choice," says Founder Tashina King. "Our affiliate program gives everyone, from local shelters to soup kitchens and other not-for-profit establishments, to benefit from our travel penny auction. We are here to create a win-win scenario for everyone to change the world one trip at a time."

Tashina's inspiration behind Destination Charity was created from her excitement for traveling and the many years of watching her mother, an educator, dedicate countless hours and thousands of dollars to support her student's basic needs. Tashina witnessed her mother's great efforts with traditional school fundraisers and saw first hand how often they lacked the capability to meet the needs of the classroom. Her mother's altruistic actions ignited Tashina's drive to make fundraising easier for others. There are many classrooms and organizations nationwide faced with budget cuts seeking an outlet to raise capital to supplement their programs. We at Destination Charity believe that a travel auction that supports these organizations is the way to go. It is the first of its kind to demonstrate its use through penny auctions as a fundraising tool for non- profits.

Everyone wants to travel, but most cannot afford the trip they want; not everyone likes to donate, but they love to have an opportunity to win. Destination Charity takes exciting vacation prizes and gives the community a reason to donate, that may be selfish in it's beginning, but the final result is magic for everyone involved.~ Tashina King.

According to Statista.com, approximately 2.9 trillion dollars were contributed to travel and tourism in 2019. With numbers, in the trillions, it's apparent that people like to travel. When you visit social media pages like Travel and Leisure, an entity with over 5.3 million followers, it's an indication that people want to explore the world; people will invest for an extraordinary moment. However, some people envision themselves on an escape to Naples, but cannot afford it. There are opportunities in the auctions hosted by Destination Charity. Your decision to support the charity of your choice could turn into the luxury vacation you've always imagined.

The Destination Charity community page will serve as a pathway to building relationships with local non-profit organizations and other individuals interested in travel. Please visit destinationcharity.org or email community@destinationcharity.com for more information about how you can be a part of a movement whose purpose is to help charitable organizations advance. Destination Charity is the future of heartfelt travel with a purpose.

Announcing the Helina Kebede Student Loans Campaign

Fair Haven, MI – June 2, 2015 – A family of 4 is trying to survive on one income and pay off over $130,000.00 is student loans. Their goals are not to get rich but only survive and provide a college fund for their two small children and pay off their student loans.

Helina Kebede is a stay at home mom so she can guide their children in an American way, they don't own a home but that is ok for now, just as long as they can pay the rent (which is a struggle for them on a single income) and feed their children as well.

Helina Kebede is not asking for a hand out just a hand up. They are a family that loves this country and believes in the American way but they need some help so we can pass on a better life to our children than we are living.

They want to pay it forward and help others and they know there are others that have it bad as well and they will work with their community and church to help others succeed with we share crowd funding. All they are asking for is a chance to pay it forward.

Announcing the Campaign to Help Revitalize a Thriving Commercial District

Help fund a local home-grown restaurant looking to bring the community back to Downtown Richmond

Richmond, CA  – March 1, 2015 – The Richmond Main Street Initiative, Inc. and Home of Chicken and Waffles announce their campaign to open a new restaurant and revitalize a formerly thriving commercial district.

Historic Downtown Richmond finally has the chance to build itself up as a safe, vibrant, thriving destination for arts, entertainment, businesses, and residents with an easily accessible transit center. For far too long, the area of Downtown Richmond has suffered financially, and has struggled to attract the development projects that are vital to the economic development of the city. Restaurants and retail businesses are crucial components of a healthy, vibrant neighborhood, creating jobs and tax revenue that benefit the entire community.

Richmond Main Street is proud to be working in partnership with Home of Chicken and Waffles to bring a family-style sit down restaurant to the downtown Richmond shopping district.  In addition to Chicken and Waffles, there is also an opportunity to support the build out of the entire 10,000 square feet of raw retail space to support a café and coffee shop.

Richmond Main Street is in need of $75,000 to help Home of Chicken and Waffles with the first phase of the build out of this raw space. This campaign will give the historic Downtown area the boost it needs to begin creating a viable district with arts, entertainment, and wholesome food, all of which have been sorely needed for this long under-served community. Monies raised from this campaign will be used to fund Phase 1 of the large-scale tenant improvements needed to transform this raw space into a beautiful sit-down restaurant.

Please consider donating to this cause, and help revitalize the Downtown Richmond community.
